Terms of sale to individuals

1. Orders

Orders may be placed using one of the methods described below:

E-mail, mail and fax orders must include the following information:

  • Work(s): title, ISBN, quantity.
  • Personal information: first name, last name, company (if applicable), delivery address, e-mail, phone number.
  • One of our representatives will contact you after calculating the total invoice amount (taxes, shipping, etc.). The invoice must be paid in full once you have been informed of the amount.

Note that Presses internationales Polytechnique cannot be held responsible for any problem due to inexact contact information provided.

2. Availability

All orders are shipped from our warehouse. If an item cannot be delivered because it is out of stock, the customer will be informed and an arrangement will be made.

3. Price

The prices posted on our Web site www.pressespoly.ca are in Canadian dollars, before taxes and shipping. Books are sold in accordance with the provisions of the Act respecting the development of Qébec firms in the book industry . All orders are payable in Canadian dollars. For any delivery outside of Canada, all customs duties and local taxes are at the purchaser's expense.

4. Shipping costs

Shipping costs cover handling and postage. These costs are established for each order based on the destination and number of items ordered.

For any delivery outside of Canada, all customs duties and local taxes are at the purchaser's expense.

5. Payment

Orders made by individuals must be paid in Canadian dollars and in full as a single credit card payment. We accept VISA and MASTERCARD. Payments are secured by our financial institution, Desjardins Group.

6. Delivery times

Orders in stock at our warehouse take one business day to process plus one to three business days for delivery in Canada and five to seven business days for delivery to an international destination. In no case shall Presses internationales Polytechnique be held responsible for a delivery delay due to an out-of-stock item or a problem arising from the shipping company

7. Merchandise returns

DAMAGED ITEMS

Any request for a return of damaged items must be made within 10 days following the receipt of the damaged merchandise. Books will be exchanged at no charge provided that authorization has been obtained from customer service at the following phone number: 514-340-3286.

DEFECTIVE ITEMS

Any items with a manufacturing defect (printing, pagination, binding) may be returned for exchange. Books will be exchanged at no charge provided that authorization has been obtained from customer service at the following phone number: 514-340-3286.

REIMBURSEMENT

Upon reception of the returned products, any amount charged to your credit card for these products, except for delivery fees, will be credited as soon as possible, on condition that the returned products have been returned by you and received by Presses internationales Polytechnique in the same condition they were in when they were delivered to you.
